Traditional Japanese Martial Arts for Adults

Castle Rock AIKIDO Fall 2012 Workshop
October 7th, 2012
Special guest instructor Jon Houle Sensei from Boulder led a portion of the workshop. Houle Sensei studies a style of Aikido called Buglarian Aikido. Houle Sensei emphasized moving your partner with your hips instead of your arms. He demonstrated this by performing SAN-KYO on Ned, the biggest guy at the workshop.
Get them knees warmed up guys, Bobby and Lee! It's going to be a long day!
Deborah lets out a smile after tossing Paul Sensei across the mat. Oops!
Mike and Greg sneak in a breather between techniques.
Houle Sensei off-balances Sean and then chucks him over his shoulder.
Greg and Sean figure things out while Jason takes Ned to the mat hard.
How are you going to get out of this one, Paul Sensei?
ABOVE: Paul Sensei really tried to get us to think outside the box of AIKIDO-dogma and learn to adapt to the environment, no matter what it is.
RIGHT: Harris Sensei got everyone blood pumping early with an intense RENZOKU WAZA practice.
